One of three KATO 475 KW generators being repaired and remanufactured to factory specifications.
We disasembled the generator, steam cleaned, and inspected/tested all components. Checked all dimensions to verify that they are within manufacture’s specifications.
Performed required machine work.
Replaced bearings with specified bearings or KOYO bearings.
Rewound stator, exciter, and armature.
Reinsulated with epoxy varnish in VPI and bake. Repeat this process for a second time.
Armature dynamically balanced.
Assembled and tested to assure that all data meets manufacturer specifications.
Generator is painted and crated for shipment per required level of packaging.
